Number One-Rated High School Point Guard Darius Acuff Jr Commits to Arkansas

The PMG client brings elite talent and leadership to the Razorbacks, elevating Arkansas’ title contention hopes with immediate impact.

DALLAS, TEXAS (Jul 26, 2024) - In a major moment for college basketball’s Class of 2025, Darius Acuff Jr., the number one point guard in the nation, has officially committed to the University of Arkansas. Acuff's commitment gives Coach Calipari and his staff one of the most decorated PG’s since John Wall.

The 6'3", 180-pound Darius Acuff Jr. is known to NBA scouts as one of the most dominant and dynamic players in his class. Originally from Detroit, MI, Acuff’s career took off at Cass Tech High School, where he soared from unranked athlete to 247 Sports' #1 point guard in one season after dazzling fans on the Nike EYBL Circuit, leading Cass Tech to a Michigan MHSAA State Championship, and ultimately transferring to IMG Academy in which he lead the NIBC league in scoring as a junior. Acuff, a Team USA U18 member who won Gold and MVP honors at the FIBA AmeriCup in Buenos Aires while leading the team in scoring, chose Arkansas over several top-tier programs, including Michigan, UCONN, Duke, and Kansas. His decision underscores the growing influence and competitive stature of Arkansas in the college basketball landscape.

Darius is a one of those rare talented kids that continues to set the bar on what a top-tier high school athlete should strive for,” said Prestige Management Group founder Rashad Phillips. “The journey he’s taken to get to this point is a testament to his resiliency and dedication. Darius has all the characteristics and resources to become a household name for years to come. This is just the beginning for he and his family.
