Kayden Henry IS the offensive spark for the Texas Longhorns as leadoff hitter, base-stealer and outfielder.
In her first year at the college level, Kayden Henry has rapidly emerged as one of the most dynamic players in collegiate softball. As a key outfielder for the Texas Longhorns, her impressive .379 batting average, 9 home runs, and 36 RBIs highlight her offensive prowess in her first year at the collegiate level. Her standout performances during the 2024 Women's College World Series, including a crucial two-RBI hit against Stanford, were instrumental in the Longhorns' journey to the finals.
Henry's speed and agility in the outfield have also been pivotal, making her one of the best defensive players in the game. Her quick reflexes and strong arm have saved numerous runs and turned potential hits into outs, earning her the respect and admiration of fans and opponents alike.
As a highly touted recruit from Dickinson High School Kayden was ranked as the No. 3 overall recruit in Perfect Game's Top 50 Class of 2023 and No. 5 in Extra Inning Softball's 223 Extra Elite 100. She has been a multi-sport star in softball and track & field earning three-time all-state honors and being named District Softball Offensive Player of the Year.
