DARIUS
ACUFF JR.

DARIUS ACUFF JR. IS THE NUMBER ONE POINT GUARD IN HIGH SCHOOL’S CLASS OF 2025. HE Is a Gold Medalist, and Committed to Arkansas.

The number one point guard in high school’s Class of 2025, 6-2, 175-pound Darius Acuff Jr. is known to college scouts as the most dominant and dynamic player in his class. Originally from Detroit, MI, Acuff’s career took off at Cass Tech High School, where he soared from unranked athlete to 247 Sports' #1 point guard in one season after dazzling fans on the Nike EYBL Circuit, leading Cass Tech to a Michigan MHSAA State Championship, and ultimately transferring to IMG Academy in which he lead the NIBC league in scoring as a junior. Acuff, a Team USA U18 member who won Gold and MVP honors at the FIBA AmeriCup in Buenos Aires while leading the team in scoring, chose Arkansas over several top-tier programs, including Michigan, UCONN, Duke, and Kansas.

“A high scoring floor general, Acuff is physical, tough and skilled. He can get on rolls from deep but his strength is what he's able to do as a one-on-one shot creator for himself or others. “

What people are saying

“First the Nike EYB Scholastic (21.3 ppg), then the Nike EYBL (24 ppg) and now Darius Acuff is dominating the FIBA U18 Men’s AmeriCup in Buenos Aires, averaging 17.7 points, 4.7 rebounds and 3.7 assists for Team USA!”

— League Ready (@LeagueRDY), High School Sports Media

“As Acuff has sculpted his frame, he’s simultaneously become more explosive and improved his first-step, but it’s often his second-move, or counter, that is especially lethal.”

— Adam Finklestein, Director of Scouting, 247 Sports

“It’s easy to see why Acuff is rated as one of the top players in his class. He can score the ball at will, averaging over 20 points on the EYBL circuit this summer. He’s everything you’d want in a modern, score-first point guard; he can pull up from mid-range or three, he has a quick first step to the rim, and he has excellent vision, finding teammates rolling to the rim once the defense collapses on him.”
