A 6’7 wing, Aaron Scott made his college basketball debut in the 2021-22 season where he became the first North Texas freshman to earn multiple Conference USA Freshman of the Week honors since 2017. Since then, the Spring, TX native has continued his ascension across the conference and national landscape starting every game for the Mean Green, culminating in his leading North Texas over UAB, Wisconsin, Oklahoma State, Sam Houston, and Alcorn to win the 2023 NIT Championship, the school’s first ever. Last season, the defensive-minded Scott averaged 7.0 points and 5.5 rebounds per game with a season field goal percentage of 58.4%.
